I did a contract on the beautiful Gold Coast last year, working on the Cultural Precinct project at Evandale. My favourite part of the job was capturing the site from every angle. Trees, birds, the lake, the view of the Surfers Paradise skyline from the ground and the roof of the arts centre – so many ways to see and photograph this beautiful region.
One night I spent a full hour at sunset photographing the changing light.
This is one of my favourite shots … slow exposure, just as the sun disappears and the lights come on, using a timer on tripod for NO movement at all to get the precise detail in the lights. This photo is untouched and shot on my Nikon D90 with a Sigma 18-70mm 2.8 lens.
